Apex-Gym is owned and managed by Andrew Brown. Andrew’s path to fitness had a rocky start because he was 6’ 3”, seriously underweight
and had a poor relationship with food and a
poor appetite. Feeling embarrassed about
his appearance in his teens, he started weight training when he was 17. At the start of his journey he was 55kg, whereas now he is
around 110kg, bigger and much stronger!

Andrew now shares his passion and knowledge with his clients with a 1-1 coaching service which is very successful and full of truly jaw dropping, physical and life changing transformations.


The success of the gym is all about working together as a team. Andrew has created an experienced and effective team to support you in achieving your goals at Apex-Gym.

Liam brings a wealth of experience and passion to his role at Apex Stoke. Having completed all of his bodybuilding preps through Apex with great results, his deep commitment to training has naturally led him into leadership roles within the fitness industry.
From his time in the army to working as a personal trainer, online coach, and rising through the ranks of gym management, Liam has developed a strong skill set built on discipline, dedication, and an unwavering work ethic. He understands exactly what the team and the members need, and isn’t afraid to lead from the front.

Helping people to enjoy exercise, build confidence and find training styles that are effective and achieve results has become my passion.
If you want to make changes in your life, then only you can make them happen. That's what I found in 2012 when I started my own personal fitness journey. I'd been gaining weight throughout my early 20's, eating too much and having a desk bound job with virtually no exercise or activity. I decided to hit the gym and was spending hours every week doing cardio, but I wasn't getting the results or the toned body I had hoped for. Eventually I hired a personal trainer which turned out to be the best thing I have ever done. My personal trainer taught me so much about exercise and nutrition, helping me to understand that I didn't need to spend hours each week to achieve the fit, toned and healthy body I wanted. This inspired me become a qualified personal trainer - so that now, I help others realise their goals.
I'm a Level 4 personal trainer and nutrition coach with over ten years full time personal training experience.

As a coach of over 5 years I have worked with numerous different people from different walks of life to achieve their goals!
From working on Cruise Ships as a Sport Instructor to now working with individuals on their fitness levels and to build muscle alongside working with Football Clubs, like Macclesfield FC, delivering their Strength and Conditioning programs.

I’m a Mum of four small children, so I know what it’s like to juggle family life with getting fit and keeping your fitness at the right level. I’ve worked at Apex Gym since the gym opened in 2019.
It’s long been noted that going to the gym is as much about mental health and well-being and not just about being good for you physically. At Apex Gym we foster an atmosphere and environment that encourages friendship and making our clients feel comfortable, safe and proud to train.

Jack Meadon
Hi, I’m Jack.
I’m part of the team here at Apex Gym, and when I’m not behind the desk you’ll usually find me training on the gym floor.

I first picked up weights at 14 because I was tired of feeling weak and skinny, and I’ve never stopped since. Over the years I’ve trained consistently in both bodybuilding and weightlifting, and fitness has become a cornerstone of my life.
​
I’m a qualified Master Trainer with the European Institute of Fitness (EIF), and while I’m not currently working as a PT, I use my knowledge and experience to support and help others in the gym.
​
For me, fitness isn’t just about physical health — it’s about mental strength too. Training teaches discipline, focus, consistency, and self-reliance. It anchors your life, clears your head, and builds the foundation for growth both in and out of the gym.

A personal trainer who's main focus is to help people believe in themselves and over small changes gradually love themselves for who they are. Weighing in at over 23st was the time I needed to start believing in myself and changing my life. After losing over half my body weight and loving the gym life I knew what I wanted to do; to help others. I truly know the emotions that come with having low confidence, being overweight etc...As a mother of 3 and a grandmother it's never too late to start, my only regret is that I didn't start sooner.
I also do a lot of research and studies into the menopause with entering this stage of life myself I can relate to issues that this brings.

Sport has been a part of my life since I was a young girl, and today, I bring my experience and
passion to my work as a personal trainer. My background spans powerlifting, Olympic lifting, and
three years of MMA, along with a deep commitment to mobility and stretching. My goal is to help
you build not just physical strength, but the resilience and confidence to thrive in every area of
life.
My Journey to Coaching
From a young age, I faced challenges with depression, anxiety, and, more recently, discovered I
have ADHD. Growing up, I was lanky, self-conscious, and often felt invisible. Then, in my early
twenties, my struggles with weight added to my self-doubt. I reached a breaking point and
decided to make a change: to fight for myself, my health, and my happiness—a life I’d nearly
lost.
Since that decision, I’ve dedicated myself to learning everything I can about training, nutrition,
mental health, and personal growth.

I work with a therapist who’s taught me how to navigate low
moods and anxiety, knowledge that I now integrate into my coaching. Training, eating well, and
nurturing my mental health have given me confidence, clarity, and self-worth. I understand what
it’s like to come through a long, hard journey, and I’m here to help others do the same—to not
just exist, as I once did, but to truly live.
